Foodie Post #12: Flavours by Saute @ Funan, Singapore

We tried out this vegetarian restaurant "Flavours by Saute". Seldom eat at a vegetarian stall,  luckily we had this 1-for-1 from HSBC entertainer.

Had this vegetarian Assam fish. Wow! This is pretty amazing. The vegetarian fish is nicely pan fried. xD and it's pretty spicy as well. Thumbs up!

And had petai fried rice! We could never resist petai. I feel it's kind of normal, as I like the combination of petai and sambal. But he thinks it's quite nice! xD So give it a try!

Foodie Post #11: Collin's @ Cineleisure, Singapore

Initially we wanted to go to Membaka Ramen for their 1-for-1 opening promotion, too bad there's a 5 hours queue hahaha! So in the end we went to Collins, and luckily we went there! I totally forgot about my free birthday meal there! xD

This is their mixed grill set promotion. This along with the trio mushroom soup above and the soda drinks below, cost a total of $29. I super love the mushroom soup with the baguette! The vegetable sides is amazing too.
This is my free birthday meal! Grilled barramundi! The portion is huge!
And we had Mao Shan Wang cake! Looks so pretty right!

Foodie Post #10: Shake Shack @ Suntec, Singapore

Finally we tried this! When it first opened in Jewel, the queue was overwhelming! Now it has opened a few branches in Singapore (Orchard, Suntec, Tanjong Pagar). I tried the Suntec branch on a weekend, so we managed to get a seat straightaway.

The first burger in the front is SmokeShack ($10.90). It's spicy as there's chopped cherry pepper, I love the bacon in it! And normal fries ($4.50). Comes with mustard and tomato sauce!
The burger behind is 'Shroom Burger ($10.80). The crisp-fried portobello mushroom is love! And we ordered a Pandan Shake ($7.80), which is Singapore exclusive! hmm, too sweet for us and it's best to share with 4 ppl.

Overall a nice experience, they even have a hand washing machine, you can just put your hand there and soap and water will flow out automatically. Not a very big fan of burger, so I would say probably 1 try is enough for me ๐Ÿ˜‹

Foodie Post #9: PAUL @ Orchard, Singapore

Wanted to try this since I have 1-for-1 HSBC Entertainer, but it cannot be used during PH. ๐Ÿ˜ญ So I'll still go back there another time xD

I had this Egg Benedict with Smoked Salmon ($16.90). The portion is fairly huge for me, and the poached eggs are perfect!
And Hadi had this Salted Egg Soft Shelled Crab Pasta ($22.90). Creamy pasta is not my favourite so I still prefer the egg Benedict over this pasta. I'll try other dishes on my next visit and update here again!

Foodie Post #8: The Boiler @ Tai Seng, Singapore

We went here for my birthday! They have this birthday promotion which you will get a free lobster with purchase of a bombdiggity bag! It's been so long since I last had seafood this way xD

I should have taken a nearer picture, but it's kind of hard to capture the whole thing when they are all in the bag. So the top bag is the bombdiggity bag ($159). It consists of clams, mussels, prawns, crabs, smoked sausages, corns and the 4 buns below. You can choose the sauce to go with, and we picked The Works (Mild). I'm afraid that if we go too hot we would drink lots of water, and garlic butter might make us feel a lil jelak. xD

The free lobster is at the 2nd bag, with the choice of garlic butter sauce. Overall we enjoyed our dinner! The bombdiggity bag doesn't look a lot, but it definitely able to fill our tummy well! The menu says that it's for 4 person, but I think 3 person is just fine xD
One last picture of 3 of us! xD Hello ex-colleague hahaha!

Foodie Post #7: PLONK @ Serangoon North, Singapore

Came here for lunch as I wanted to go somewhere nearby. Just notice there are a lot of nice restaurants around, should come here for food hunt again!

Fish and Chips ($23). Not the usual dory fish, but barramundi! Tastes quite nice!
Grilled Bone-In Pork Chop ($25). This is nice! The pork is tender, and the apple kale salad is nice too!
Seared Salmon ($25). Served with truffle mash, thought it is potato mash at first. This is nice as well!

This place serves nice foods! Wouldn't mind to go back and try other stuffs as well! xD

Foodie Post #6: SLATE @ Bugis, Singapore

Wow, this is amazing! It's a small shop nearby National Library in Bugis. Their foods are amazing, as well as the drinks! I don't normally drink alcoholic beverages, but this cocktails are soooo instagrammable and nice xD

Hahaha! This doesn't looks edible ๐Ÿ˜… but it's one of my favourite food here! This is called Textures of Cauliflower ($13). Honestly, the portion is quite small, but OMG! It will be the best cauliflower you've had ever tasted! Must-try!
This is Baby Scallops ($13). It tastes nice, but probably the cauliflower outshined this dish. xD

We had cocktails. This is Golden Wisdom ($17).
This is Mai Lai ($17)
And this is mine! Absolutely love this. Smoking Daisy ($20).

Wanted to try the Siew Mai Wellington, but too bad it's unavailable. So we had this Kopa Grilled Duroc Pork Belly ($22). This is very nice!! Hahaha! Forgot to take the picture of the sauce, but this is eaten together with the sauce and it tastes amazing!

This is Squid 2 Ways ($23). The black colour thingy is rice crackers by squid ink. And it's called squid 2 ways as they prepared the squid in  2 ways (fried and grilled). We like the grilled one more, it's nice to eat together with the mango salsa.
This is Banana Leaf Milkfish ($28). This tastes quite nice but probably because it's sort of taste like sambal that makes it seems a bit normal among the 3 dishes that we had.

Overall a very nice dining experience hahaha! They decorated with halloween stuff, and the restaurant is small and cozy, nice ambience and I like that it's not that noisy too.

Foodie Post #5: Wine & Chef @ Outram Park, Singapore

Finally we managed to come here. Last Friday I forgot to reserve and was full. Came here as I saw people's recommendation as well as for HSBC Entertainer 1 For 1! xD

Scallops Capellini ($28). Their must-try dish! It's served cold, and I like it!
Iberico Pork Collar ($33). Not a big fan of meat, but this is not bad hahaha! There's mashed potatoes, poached apple and some broccoli with cauliflower.
Originally wanted to order Spicy Salmon Carpaccio, but too bad it's not available. So we went for this Truffle Fries ($15). Oh well, there's no bad fries and the portion is big too.

Date night! Yay! Enjoyed our dinner here, we should have ordered some wine hahaha!

ๆœ€่ฟ‘็–ฏ็‹‚่ฟทไธŠ็š„ Anime: Violet Evergarden

This anime has been in my bookmark list for so long. Have heard about good reviews on this anime, but never really gain the interest to watch it.

Until I really watch it ๐Ÿ˜‚ Soooooo Nice!!!

From episode 1 to 4, it will end with a magnificent sentence, something that will make you tear up a bit. Starting from episode 5, I cried like nobody's business. Why is an anime about a emotionless girl who was a weapon for war becoming an auto memory doll and writes letter for others sooooo touching?!?!

Strongly recommend hahaha! Even the OST are nice!

Foodie Post #4: Una Una @ Bugis, Singapore

Went here with my ex-colleague. Was searching for nice Jap food and saw this place. Was hoping to sit inside Una Una but unfortunately it's full. It feels more authentic there hahaha!

This is the Unagi Hitsumabushi. We ordered a Double ($19), which has more unagi. There are Regular ($14) and Small ($9) as well. Not sure how's the portion for Small though. Double is nice, the unagi is ๐Ÿคค
This is the Unagi Sushi Roll Set ($14). It comes with miso soup as well as chawanmushi. Pretty cheap!
And this is the Salmon Carpaccio with Yuzu Dressing ($10.80). I love the yuzu dressing, it tastes like roasted sesame + yuzu.

Nice and cheap foods! Satisfied!

Foodie Post #3: Oriole Coffee + Bar @ Orchard, Singapore

Came here because I have the HSBC Entertainer 1 For 1! So we ordered 2 mains for dinner.

This should be the Spicy Crabmeat Capellini ($28).
And this should be the Herb Roasted Barramundi ($32).
Yep, if I knew I was going to have dinner here, I would have worn something nicer to work. ๐Ÿ˜– Overall foods are pretty delicious and I'm happy with the 1 for 1 deal! xD

Foodie Post #2: Arteastiq @ Orchard, Singapore

Kexin introduced this restaurant to me. I went here twice, once for dinner with Kexin, once for afternoon tea with him. xD This Signature High Tea Set cost $48 for 2 person. Nice presentation, food was nice too! And it comes with 2 choices of tea, which are very special!

Below was what I had when I went for dinner. They have a wide variety of mains and pasta as well.
This is the Myth of the Sea - Sambal Sea Bass & Dry Laksa Spaghetti ($25). The portion was huge! Generous amount of fish given as well.
Think this is the Sea Chanty - Spicy Crayfish Spaghetti ($20).

Overall a very nice dining experience here. ๐Ÿ˜
